Clemson University is seeking an Admissions/Student Services professional to evaluate credentials, review applications, and make admissions determinations in accordance with campus procedures.
The role involves travel or online recruitment, representing the university at events, and communicating admissions information clearly to prospective students and families. A bachelor’s degree and relevant experience are required.
Performs professional duties in one or more student services program areas at an institution of higher education.
Evaluation, Decision Making, and Communication: Evaluates academic credentials and reviews application information of potential students to ensure consistent alignment with current Admissions Office, Admissions Committee, and University procedures. Makes admissions decisions and initiates communication with prospective students and their parents utilizing University technology and processes to appropriately document these interactions.
Travel and Recruitment Territory/Population Management: Maintains a full travel or online contact schedule for assigned recruitment territory or population. Must follow the State of South Carolina's guide for travel expenses.
Promotion Representation and Guidance: Promotes and represents the University to prospective students, their families, and school officials at college fairs, recruitment events, and information sessions. Assists in the development and operation of admissions sponsored events. Meets with prospective students and high school counselors regarding admissions activity and recruitment processes. Provides accurate information on admission and curriculum to foster positive prospective student experiences with the University.

JOB KNOWLEDGE: Firm working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to use in varied situations.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Not responsible for supervising employees.
BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES: No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.
Standard Hours: 37.5
Expected Salary Range $42000 - 46000 Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
Essential Support - In the event of an emergency closure or modified operations, this position is necessary to maintain/resume essential support functions, deliver direct care services, and/or provide recovery support before normal operations resume. Some positions in this category may be required to work remotely or be on-call.
