Job summary

Newmark is hiring a Critical Facilities Technician focused on mechanical/HVAC within our facilities operations. You will operate high-reliability HVAC and chilled water systems, monitor BAS/BMS, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and respond to emergencies with strong RCA capabilities.

Ideal candidates have 3–5+ years in critical environments, fall under a 24/7 schedule, and hold EPA Universal/CFC where possible; licenses are highly desirable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; associate degree preferred.
• EPA Refrigerant Certification: Universal / CFC preferred.
• Stationary Engineer License desirable.
• 3–5+ years in a critical environment (data centers, hospitals, trading hubs).
• Ability to read blueprints, electrical/mechanical drawings, and specs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate chilled water, electrical, BAS/BMS systems.
• Perform PMs and corrective maintenance via CMMS/work orders.
• Lead incident response and RCA; implement long-term fixes.
• Document procedures, SOPs, and EOPs for critical tasks.
• Ensure safety and NFPA 70E compliance; coordinate with vendors.
