Job summary

CoreSite is seeking a Critical Operations Engineer II (VA2) for the Day shift to operate, monitor, and troubleshoot critical data center electrical, mechanical, and life safety systems. The role emphasizes maintaining uptime, performing inspections, and using CMMS for work orders while coordinating with customers and vendors to ensure reliability and performance.

The COE II will mentor teammates, follow safety standards, and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of hands-on data center operations experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical infrastructure.
• Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, OSHA safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot critical electrical, mechanical, and life safety systems to ensure uptime.
• Perform facility inspections, respond to abnormal conditions, and document findings.
• Coordinate with technicians, vendors, and customers to drive operational excellence and safety.
