Job summary

CoreSite is seeking a Critical Operations Engineer II to operate and troubleshoot critical data center systems across electrical, mechanical, and life safety domains. You will monitor performance, manage maintenance work orders in CMMS, and collaborate with technicians and vendors to ensure uptime.

The role includes providing guidance to team members, following safety standards, and supporting customer projects on a swing shift. Strong hands-on experience is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or greater.
• 2–5 years of experience in the data center industry.
• Hands-on experience with large electrical and mechanical systems.
• Military experience with HVAC or Electrical training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot critical data center electrical, mechanical, and life safety systems.
• Respond to abnormal conditions, document findings, and track system performance using CMMS.
• Provide technical guidance and collaboration with technicians, vendors, and customers.
