Job summary

Premier Health's Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton is seeking a Communications Specialist to coordinate patient transport on the 7th floor. The position requires EMT/Paramedic experience or equivalent dispatch background, strong multitasking, and meticulous documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ohio EMT or Paramedic experience, or equivalent dispatch/EMS background.
• Certification within 1 year: CFC/IAMTCS or CFC/Commlink.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process emergency and interfacility transport requests.
• Dispatch and track aircraft and ground units using CAD, radio, and GPS.
• Provide flight-following and safety monitoring per FAA and standards.
• Communicate mission details and updates between crews and partner agencies.
• Document transport activity accurately in dispatch software.
• Support safe operations through clear communication and situational awareness.
