Qualifications

• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications are required at hire; ITLS/PHTLS within 90 days; NRP and ATLS within 1 year; CAMTS certification within 2 years.

Position: Flight Paramedic

Dept: CareFlight Air & Mobile Services

Shift: Full Time 7pm - 7:30am / 72 Hours per Pay

Facility: Miami Valley Hospital

The Flight Paramedic functions in a versatile role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence. The Flight Paramedic provides advanced emergency/critical are in conjunction with a CareFlight Nurse during transport. The Flight Paramedic utilizes evidence-based principles to provide safe and rapid transport of critically ill or injured patients by air ambulance or mobile intensive care to a higher-level medical treatment facility. The Flight Paramedic provides advanced emergency/critical care during medical transport and may also provide care within their scope of practice throughout Premier Health. This position also includes public relations and medical education functions.

Education: High School completion / GED.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Paramedic in the State of OhioParamedic in the State of Ohio
• The following certifications are required at the time of hire:
• BLS, ACLS and PALS
• The following certifications are required within the specified timeframe following hire:
• 90 Days- ITLS or PHTLS
• 1 Year – NRP, ATLS (audit)
• 2 Years – CAMTS approved professional certification
