Job summary

ProHealth Care, a leading healthcare provider in Wisconsin, seeks a Critical Care Technician to deliver high-acuity nursing support in the ICU and coordinate patient care within the department and with other teams.

Responsibilities include assisting RNs and physicians with procedures, setting up sterile fields, and performing phlebotomy as delegated, while ensuring patient comfort and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• BLS Certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN or Physician with procedures such as DMR care and chest tube suctioning.
• Set up sterile field and assist with line placements and chest tube insertions.
• Phlebotomy – drawing blood from arterial lines as delegated.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (dressing, toileting, positioning, nourishment).
• Discontinue arterial lines, sheaths, Foley catheters, and IVs.
• Insert peripheral IVs and Foley catheters; stock room and unit with supplies.
