Job summary

MetroHealth's Critical Care Step Down Unit, 7 West, is hiring a full-time RN for a 24-bed unit. Shift is 7a-7p or 7p-7a with rotating weekends and holidays.

Join a high-tech team with telemetry monitoring and bedside procedures; requirements include Ohio RN license, current BLS, ACLS within 6 months, and BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or currently pursuing accreditation.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• BLS provider certification (AHA) or obtainable within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS certification or obtainable within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) patients with complex cardiac/medical needs.
• Interpret EKGs and monitor telemetry; respond quickly to patient status changes.
• Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies) as needed.
• Collaborate with Patient Care Nursing Assistants, Nurse Interns, Providers, PT/OT; manage time and delegation.
