Job summary

MetroHealth in Cleveland Heights, OH seeks a Critical Care Step Down RN for 7 West. Bi-weekly hours: 72, with rotating shifts and weekends/holidays. Join a unit with 24 beds, high-tech monitoring, and strong team collaboration.

Responsibilities include EKG interpretation, central line care, and bedside procedures; requires current Ohio RN license, BLS (and ACLS within 6 months). Beyond patient care, participate in professional growth and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and an active Ohio RN license.
• BLS certification required; ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• BSN is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) with high-acuity patients.
• Interpret EKGs, manage central lines, and perform bedside procedures as needed.
• Utilize rescue Bi-PAP, high-flow oxygen, and Trach/VENT support.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, delegate tasks, and manage time effectively.
• Collaborate with PCNAs, interns, providers, PT/OT to ensure patient safety.
