Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) in the Cardiac Hospitalist area. The unit has 24 beds and a patient ratio of 5:1 in a high-tech environment with telemetry monitoring and advanced equipment.

The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with Ohio RN licensure and ACLS/BLS certification, with BSN preferred. The role involves complex care for CHF, COPD, DKA, and sepsis, with rotating weekends/holidays and bi-weekly

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Current RN licensure in Ohio.
• ACLS certification or obtain within 6 months of hire; BLS for healthcare provider within 90 days of hire.
• BSN is preferred.
• Experience in critical care settings is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the Critical Care Step Down Unit (CCSD).
• Interpret EKGs and monitor telemetry.
• Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies) and manage airway equipment.
• Collaborate with PCNAs, providers and allied staff to ensure patient safety and quality care.
