Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred; must obtain within 8 years of hire.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in good standing for the state of Michigan.
• BSN within 8 years of hire for Bronson South Haven/related sites.
• BLS certification required by core orientation.
• Critical care or ALS certifications may be required for some RNs.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process (assess, plan, diagnose, implement, evaluate).
• Coordinate care with other professionals and delegate tasks within scope of practice.
• Document and communicate patient responses, resource use, and anticipated needs each shift.
• Develop and implement discharge planning and education as appropriate.
• Maintain standards of professional nursing practice and unit-specific competencies.
