Henry Ford Jackson Hospital in Michigan is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Surgical Universal Bed Unit (20 Bed Unit). This mixed-acuity unit delivers care from ICU-level through discharge and emphasizes evidence-based practice and nursing autonomy.

You will lead care coordination using the nursing process, communicate with patients and families, and collaborate with the health care team to meet patient goals.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Enrollment in a BSN program within 3 years of hire.
• Completion of a BSN within 5 years of hire.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care, using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Delegate, supervise, and document care and patient/family teaching.
• Effectively communicate pertinent patient/family information to the health care team.
• Participate in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensure implementation of solutions.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
