Job summary

Bronson Healthcare Group in Michigan seeks a Burn Tech for the Burn Unit on a part-time days schedule. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will provide technical patient care, assist with burn care and wound care, and support tasks from data gathering to patient transport.

You should have a high school diploma or GED, CNA experience and license preferred, and certification in BLS/ABLS within 6 months. Emphasis on infection control, EMR documentation, and teamwork in a busy unit.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CNA license and prior CNA experience preferred.
• BLS and ABLS certifications required within 6 months of hire.
• Burn care/management knowledge and infection control training.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical patient care for burn unit patients under RN supervision.
• Assist with data gathering, ADLs, transport, and daily activities.
• Prepare patients for surgery and burn procedures per RN guidance.
• Maintain infection control and wound care protocols.
• Document findings in EMR promptly and accurately.
• Stock supplies and assist with department maintenance and orders.
