Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred, must obtain within 8 years of hire.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in good standing for the state of Michigan.
• BSN within 8 years of hire; timely completion required or employment may be terminated.
• BLS certification required by completion of core orientation.
• Critical care or ALS certifications may be required for some RNs.
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification required within 6 months of completing intermediate fetal monitoring.
• Current driver’s license in Michigan and proof of insurance for Bronson facilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage care delivery for patients on the Neuro Critical Care Unit (NCCU) under supervision.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team and delegate appropriate tasks.
• Document patient response, resource use and discharge needs during each shift.
• Administer medications and treatments per nursing standards and pathways.
• Support discharge planning and patient education to ensure timely, safe transitions.
