Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 5W Teaching and Innovation Unit in Boston. The role involves delivering patient-centered care in the Critical Care unit within a teaching-focused environment.

You will work on innovation teams piloting new technologies and workflows to improve patient outcomes. The position requires an active Massachusetts RN license (or ability to obtain), 1+ year RN experience preferred, BLS certification, and ACLS where required.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts RN license required or ability to obtain one.
• 1+ years of RN experience preferred.
• Certification in BLS (required) and ACLS (required in certain units).
• Nursing degree: Diploma/ASN/BSN preferred; BSN upgrade possible within 4 years.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the Critical Care unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and education of patients.
• Communicate with health care team members, patients, and families.
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records; enter and interpret computerized data.
• Follow BMC nursing policies and guidelines; support quality improvement initiatives.
