Job summary

Navicent Health Medical Center in Macon, GA is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for the Surgical Trauma ICU. The 14-bed unit specializes in surgical and traumatic injuries. New to critical care, RNs are enrolled in the Critical Care Academy (CCA).

The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, patient and family engagement, and ongoing professional development. Expect 36 hours per week with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with multi-state or single-state privileges.
• BLS certification is required.
• 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• Licensure/privileges valid where patient services are provided (telehealth rules apply).

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils and quality initiatives to improve care.
• Utilizes nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement and evaluate care.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans and mobilizes resources.
• Maintains accurate EHR documentation and promotes patient safety.
• May float to other units within the service area as needed.
