Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Surgical Trauma ICU in Macon, GA. The role involves applying evidence-based practices, coordinating patient care, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team in a busy ICU setting.

The ideal candidate will have a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program and an RN license with state privileges. A BSN is preferred, along with BLS certification and 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN licensed with privileges to practice in the state(s) served; multi-state compact may be required.
• BLS certification; additional certifications may be required based on specialty.
• Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• Adheres to ANA Code of Ethics and ethical practice.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care; engages patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
• Continuously evaluates patient, team, and unit outcomes and acts accordingly.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation; may float to other units as needed.
• Delegates appropriately to RNs, LPNs, and unlicensed personnel.
• Communicates effectively and supports teamwork and patient family engagement.
• Pursues professional development and completes required education and certifications.
