Job summary

Adventist Health Sierra Vista is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care unit. Night shifts include 3 x 12-hour or 4 x 12-hour options; shifts rotate 1900–0730 with no blocked schedules. You will work in a high-acuity environment, providing direct patient care and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

Requirements include a California RN license, BLS, ACLS, TNCC within 1 year, NIHSS, and an Associate Degree with a Critical Care course. Epic experience is required.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state of practice: Required
• BLS certification: Required
• ACLS certification: Required
• TNCC: Required within 1 year of hire or transfer into the department
• NIHSS certification: Required
• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required
• Associate Degree (A.A. or A.S.): Required
• Passing completion of a Critical Care Nursing course: Required
• Six months previous critical care experience: Preferred
• Epic experience: Required

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in critical care settings.
• Monitor patient conditions and administer medications as prescribed.
• Assist in developing and implementing patient care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and post-discharge care.
