Job summary

Jefferson Health in Abington, PA seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the MICU on a full-time night shift. You will advocate for patients and their families, utilize the nursing process, and coordinate with the care team to meet individual needs and cultural preferences.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, safety, education, and discharge planning. Prior ICU experience and active PA/NJ licensure are preferred to deliver high-quality, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in PA and/or NJ is required.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with specialized training in critical care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient and family engagement.
• Ability to provide culturally appropriate care and education.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the MICU using the nursing process.
• Collaborate with interprofessional teams to plan and implement care.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans.
• Perform safety checks, monitor for changes, and respond to emergencies.
