Job summary

Mercy is seeking a registered nurse to provide and coordinate patient care using the nursing process in alignment with Mercy Service Standards. The role requires accountability for care, collaboration with other departments, and strict maintenance of patient rights and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: BLS required; other unit-specific certifications may be required (ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, PALS, PEARS, C-EFM, etc.).
• Preferred Education/ Licensure/ Experience/ Certifications/ Other fields may be required based on unit/hire details.

Responsibilities

• Apply the nursing process to plan and provide patient care.
• Maintain professional accountability for care provided to assigned patients.
• Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care by direct care givers.
• Coordinate patient care with other hospital departments.
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of information.
