Job summary

Mercy is seeking an RN to provide patient care using the nursing process and to coordinate care with other departments. The role emphasizes protecting patient rights and confidentiality and aligning duties with Mercy Service Standards and organizational values.

The ideal candidate will hold an RN license in the hiring state or a compact license, have completed a nursing program (AD, Diploma, or BSN), and maintain BLS certification with potential unit-specific certifications as required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a school of nursing (AD, Diploma, or BSN).
• RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure and maintenance per state requirements.
• Basic Life Support certification obtained or completed within 30 days of hire.
• One or more unit-specific certifications may be required (e.g., ACLS, PALS, ENPC, TNCC, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to provide patient care with professional accountability.
• Evaluates overall effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments and maintains patient rights and confidentiality.
• Performs duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards and organizational mission.
