Job summary

ChristianaCare is seeking an RN for the Heart Failure Unit (5E) at Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE. You will deliver comprehensive nursing care to high-acuity cardiac patients, including post-operative and LVAD cases, with advanced monitoring and education.

The role requires at least 1 year as an RN, BLS, and state licensure or eligibility; BSN preferred with commitment to pursuing it within three years. Schedule includes 72 hours per pay with day/midnight rotation.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; commitment to obtaining BSN within three years of hire.
• At least one year of RN experience required.
• Previous stepdown experience preferred.
• Previous critical care experience preferred.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred.
• Delaware RN licensure or eligibility for licensure in Delaware.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to acutely ill patients.
• Perform advanced assessment and continuous hemodynamic/cardiac monitoring.
• Administer medications and educate patients and families.
• Detect and respond to changes in patient condition promptly.
