ChristianaCare's Heart Failure Unit (5E) in Newark, DE, is seeking an Registered Nurse to join a 36-bed post-critical care cardiac unit. The role involves caring for high-acuity patients with chest tubes, central lines, and pacing wires, with 7A-7P and 7P-7A shifts on a 72-hour/pay schedule.

The RN provides advanced assessment, continuous hemodynamic monitoring, medication administration, and patient education, while collaborating with the care team to detect changes early and support

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
• BSN preferred; commitment to obtaining BSN within three years of hire.
• Delaware RN licensure or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to high-acuity heart failure and post-operative cardiac patients.
• Perform continuous hemodynamic and cardiac monitoring and administer medications.
• Educate patients and families and detect changes in patient condition early.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to support post-operative open-heart and LVAD patients.
