Job summary

ChristianaCare’s Heart Failure Unit in Newark, DE seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to join 5E, a 36-bed post-critical care cardiac unit. You will care for patients with complex heart failure, LVAD post‑operative needs, and chest tubes, with 7A‑7P and 7P‑7A rotating shifts.

The role emphasizes advanced monitoring, medication administration, and patient education. Requirements include a BSN preferred with a commitment to obtain BSN within three years, at least one year of RN experience, BLS, and DE

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; commitment to obtaining BSN within three years of hire.
• At least one year of RN experience required.
• Stepdown and critical care experience preferred.
• Delaware RN licensure or eligibility to practice in Delaware.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to high-acuity cardiac patients on 5E.
• Perform advanced assessment and continuous hemodynamic monitoring.
• Administer medications and educate patients and families.
• Detect early changes in patient condition and respond promptly.
