Job summary

ChristianaCare's Heart Failure Unit (5E) in Newark, DE is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide high‑acuity care to patients with heart failure and post‑operative cardiac needs. The role involves 72 hours per pay with day and rotating midnights, including weekends and holidays as required.

Required are at least 1 year of RN experience and Delaware licensure or eligibility; BSN preferred with commitment to pursue BSN within three years. BLS is required; ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Available for 1 year RN experience minimum.
• Critical care, stepdown, or post‑operative cardiac experience preferred.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Heart Failure Unit (5E).
• Perform advanced assessment and continuous hemodynamic and cardiac monitoring.
• Administer medications and educate patients and families.
• Early detection of changes in patient condition and collaborative care.

Critical care experience

BLS certified
