Job summary

ChristianaCare’s Heart Failure Unit (5E) is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high‑acuity care for complex cardiac patients, including post‑operative LVAD patients. You will monitor hemodynamics, manage chest tubes and pacing wires, and educate patients and families.

This full‑time day/midnight rotating role requires at least 1 year RN experience, with BSN preferred and a commitment toward BSN within 3 years.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred with commitment to obtaining BSN within 3 years.
• At least one year of RN experience; stepdown and critical care experience preferred.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred.
• Delaware RN licensure or eligibility must be met.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to high-acuity cardiac patients on 5E.
• Perform advanced assessment and continuous hemodynamic and cardiac monitoring.
• Administer medications and monitor for changes in patient condition.
