Job summary

MaineGeneral Health in Augusta, ME is seeking a Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) to join the team at the Alfond Center for Health. This 36-hour per week day-shift role (7a–7p) includes weekend and holiday rotation and offers a competitive total rewards package.

The role provides direct care to critically ill adults, requires active Maine RN licensure, and prefers CCU experience with BLS/ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

• Active Maine RN licensure or ability to obtain it in a timely fashion.
• At least 1 year of RN experience in an acute care setting is strongly preferred.
• Prior/recent CCU experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care, transfers, discharges, and referrals.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and family and provides education.
• Effectively delegates care to ancillary staff and may precept students or new hires.
