Job summary

MaineGeneral Health in Augusta, ME is seeking a Med/Surg Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the 1 West CardioPulmonary Med/Surg unit at the Alfond Center for Health.

You will provide basic patient care under RN supervision, support emotional and physical needs, greet patients, and assist with calls and rounds.

This 36-hour weekly day shift offers three 12-hour shifts, with rotating weekends and holiday requirements, and includes opportunities for growth and continuing education.

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certificate from the State of Maine.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care under RN supervision according to scope of practice.
• Assist patients with emotional, physical, and spiritual needs.
• Greet patients and visitors; answer, screen, and route telephone calls.
• Call codes, pages, and overhead announcements as requested.
• Report abnormal findings or changes in patient condition to nursing staff.
• Help maintain unit and patient rooms stocked, clean, and orderly.
