Job summary

MaineGeneral Health is hiring a Maternity & Pediatrics RN for 36 hours per week on the night shift at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta, ME. The role covers Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Pediatrics, and Level II Nursery, with weekend, holiday and on-call rotation.

The ideal candidate holds an active Maine RN license with 1+ year of relevant RN experience and demonstrates strong teamwork, communication and critical thinking.

Qualifications

• Active Maine RN licensure or ability to obtain one in a timely fashion.
• At least 1 year of Med/Surg, Mother/Baby, Level II or Labor & Delivery RN experience is required.
• Excellent teamwork, communication and collaboration skills.
• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize resources.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral and psychosocial needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides appropriate education.
