Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Massachusetts is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Critical Care Unit. The role requires full RN licensure in MA and completion of an accredited nursing program, with BLS mandatory and ACLS as applicable.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts licensure and registration.
• Completion of an accredited school of nursing program.
• BLS required for all RNs; ACLS if current as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for patient care from Admission to Discharge.
• Performs patient assessment and reassessment per standard procedures.
• Develops and coordinates care plans including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care within the assigned setting.
• Documents patient care per standard procedures.
• Implements/coordinates and documents Education Plan for patient/family.
• Ensures quality and continuity of care through collaboration with other clinicians.
• Administers medications and assists with procedures as required.
• Participates in Nursing Governance activities and supports staff development.
