Job summary

You will supervise and coordinate nursing care, document thoroughly, and educate patients and families. The position requires MA licensure, BLS, ACLS, and unit-specific certifications; BSN preferred.

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for care delivery from Admission to Discharge.
• Performs patient assessment/reassessment according to standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates individual plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care.
• Delegates appropriately to others per job description and competency.
• Documents patient care according to standard procedure.
• Develops and implements Education Plan for patient/family.
• Ensures quality and continuity of care through collaboration.
• Administers medications and therapies per policy.
• Participates in Nursing Governance activities.
• Assumes responsibility for professional growth and staff development.
• Participates in performance improvement initiatives.
