Job summary

Mercy is seeking a registered nurse to provide patient-centered care using the nursing process. The role includes evaluating care effectiveness, coordinating with other departments, and upholding patient rights and confidentiality.

Qualifications include an RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure, and graduation from an approved nursing program. A broad set of certifications is encouraged to support unit-specific needs.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• RN license in hiring state and/or compact licensure required and current.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire; ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, BLS, PALS, PEARS, and other unit certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains accountability for care for assigned patients.
• Evaluates effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality.
