Job summary

Required credentials include NBRC-registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and state licensure, with BSRT preferred and strong experience in critical care settings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of Respiratory Therapy required.
• Associate’s degree in respiratory therapy required (or equivalent experience). BA/BS or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge in oxygen delivery modes and equipment and conducts prescribed therapeutic procedures.
• Administers therapeutic procedures and diagnostic procedures per policy.
• Initiates, monitors and maintains mechanical and non-invasive ventilators.
• Evaluates current therapies and makes recommendations on plans of care and patient education.
• Documents therapy and communicates results to the healthcare team.
• Initiates and modifies respiratory care techniques in emergencies and analyzes blood gas values.
