Qualifications

• RRT certification required by NBRC; MO license and BCLS/ACLS
• Provides care for cardiac and respiratory patients per physician orders
• Perfoms arterial blood gases, EKGs, and other testing within designated times

Responsibilities

• Provides patient therapy and breathing treatments per schedule.
• Tests and monitors oxygen therapy and ventilation; reassesses every few hours.
• Performs quality control on respiratory equipment and records results.
• Completes charting and daily charges; reads back verbal orders.
• Educates patients on disease processes and home-use equipment.
