Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have Missouri respiratory therapist license.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required.
• Associate degree or higher in respiratory therapy from an accredited program.
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience, preferably in critical care.
• Strong understanding of respiratory care protocols, equipment and therapies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS and PALS within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' respiratory status and history.
• Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans.
• Administer respiratory therapies including aerosol medications, ventilation, and oxygen therapy.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to treatment and adjust as needed.
• Educate patients and families about respiratory conditions, treatments, and preventive measures.
• Conduct diagnostic tests such as ABG analysis and pulmonary function tests.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records of assessments, treatments, and progress.
