Job summary

Wellstar Kennestone Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist II to join our night shift team. You will provide expert respiratory care in critical care areas, support ventilator management, and work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.

You will educate patients and families, mentor new staff, and contribute to safety and performance improvement initiatives while adhering to Wellstar policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program with at least 20 science hours.
• AS degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist and Respiratory Care Professional credentials required; BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications (instructor/provisional as listed).

Responsibilities

• Completion of patient care, documentation and education.
• Ventilator management, weaning, and airway management.
• Arterial blood gas sampling and analysis.
• Educates patient and mentors new employees, students and peers.
• Assists in invasive and non-invasive procedures and Cardiac Service testing.
