Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy (required/preferred)
• NBRC-RRT certification required upon hire (or equivalent)
• CPR/BLS and ACLS certifications required

Responsibilities

• Completion of patient care, documentation and education.
• Collaborates with health care team members in planning patient care.
• Verifies orders and administers aerosolized medication, bronchial hygiene, and oxygen & medical gas therapy.
• Ventilator management and weaning; airway management including intubation, extubation and tracheostomy care.
• Arterial blood gas sampling and analysis.
• Educates patients and mentors new employees, students and peers.
• Assists in invasive and non-invasive procedures and Pulmonary Diagnostic Testing.
