Wellstar Health System is seeking a Respiratory Therapist II to deliver complex respiratory care in critical care settings across Georgia. The role emphasizes ventilator management, independent decision‑making, and patient/family education.

The RT II will participate in staff development, education of new employees, and adherence to safety and quality standards, while working within a team that values compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelors in Respiratory Therapy (preferred).
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP or equivalent certifications required.
• 0-2 years clinical experience with at least 6 months in critical care.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in critical care areas with ventilator management and weaning as needed.
• Administer aerosolized meds, bronchial hygiene, oxygen and other respiratory therapies.
• Assess patients, document care, and educate patients and families.
• Collaborate with the health care team to plan and adjust patient care.
• Mentor and precept new staff and students; participate in professional development.
• Promote safety, accurate charting, and adherence to policies.
