Qualifications

• Graduate from AMA-approved school of Respiratory Care.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Credentialed as an RRT; licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge in oxygen delivery and equipment to achieve adequate oxygenation.
• Administers therapeutic procedures and explains benefits and risks to patients.
• Performs diagnostic procedures per policy.
• Initiates and maintains ventilators and non-invasive ventilators.
• Evaluates therapies and recommends care plans and patient education.
• Documents therapy and communicates results to the care team.
• Performs respiratory care in emergencies and monitors patients.
• Performs blood sampling analysis and interprets results.
