Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join the Union Respiratory Therapy Services. The role involves managing oxygen delivery, ventilators, patient education, and meticulous documentation within a 36-hour workweek schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of Respiratory Therapy.
• Associate degree in respiratory therapy required (BA/BS preferred).
• RRT credential and NBRC licensure expected.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of oxygen delivery modes and equipment; conducts prescribed therapies.
• Administers therapies and performs diagnostic procedures per policy.
• Monitors and maintains ventilators, including non-invasive devices in critical care.
• Evaluates current therapies and makes care recommendations.
• Documents therapy results; communicates with the healthcare team.
