Job summary

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for 36 hours of night shifts onsite at 789 Central Avenue. The therapist provides clinical assessment and respiratory care to critically ill patients, initiating and adjusting therapies as needed.

The role requires an Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy (Bachelor’s preferred), BLS, and NBRC-RRT certification; 0–1 year experience is preferred. Sign-on bonus offered and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in respiratory therapy is required; bachelor's preferred.
• Licensure includes BLS and NBRC-RRT; NALS may be preferred.
• 0-1 year of respiratory care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Initiates and assists with respiratory tests and procedures per orders.
• Responds to respiratory emergencies and transports ventilated patients safely.
• Develops care plans and recommends therapies to physicians.
• Schedules treatments and acts as active team member.
• Manages all aspects of respiratory therapy per policies.
• Conducts bedside rounds and adjusts plans based on status.
• Educates students, staff, patients, and families; supervises students.
