Job summary

UTMB Health is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive respiratory care to neonatal through geriatric patients in a hospital setting. You will manage ventilators, airway therapy, and respiratory assessments under physician orders and department protocols.

The role requires NBRC-credentialed RRT, Texas licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner, and BLS/ACLS certification; pediatric life support may be required by unit.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Care program.
• No minimum experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive respiratory care to neonatal through geriatric patients according to physician orders and department protocols.
• Administer, monitor, and wean mechanical ventilation and manage airways.
• Perform blood gas analysis and respiratory function tests.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams; participate in Rapid Response and Code teams.

Education
