Job summary

Atlantic Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide life support and respiratory care under physician supervision. Responsibilities include evaluating prescriptions, administering therapies, operating ventilators, and monitoring patient responses.

Requirements include an Associate degree in RT, NJ license with NBRC RRT, and 1+ year of experience; BLS; ALS preferred or pending within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in respiratory therapy required; bachelor’s preferred.
• 1+ years of respiratory care experience; critical care preferred.
• Current NJ Respiratory Therapy license and NBRC RRT credential.
• BLS required; ALS preferred or obtainable within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate prescriptions, monitor arterial blood gases and patient condition.
• Provide aerosolized medications and assist breathing techniques.
• Operate ventilators and other respiratory equipment to support care.
• Monitor treatment parameters and adjust as directed by physician.
• Perform pulmonary function tests and assist in diagnosis.
