Job summary

Atlantic Health Morristown, NJ seeks a Respiratory Therapist to provide life support and cardiopulmonary care under physician supervision. You will evaluate prescriptions, administer aerosols, operate ventilators, monitor responses, and contribute to diagnostic testing. Must hold NBRC RRT, NJ license, and BLS/ACLS; BS preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in respiratory therapy is required.
• Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred.
• 1+ years of respiratory care experience required.
• Current NJ Respiratory Therapy license and NBRC RRT credential required.
• Active basic and advanced life support certifications.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate prescriptions and monitor arterial blood gases to tailor therapy.
• Administer aerosol medications and position patients to aid breathing.
• Operate ventilators and related equipment to support oxygen delivery.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust therapy as directed by physician.
• Perform pulmonary function tests and assist in diagnostic testing.
• Maintain patient charts and ensure equipment safety and upkeep.
• Educate patients and trainees on respiratory care procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams for optimal outcomes.
