Job summary

Atlantic Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to deliver respiratory therapy and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies under physician supervision. The role includes administering inhalation therapies, ventilator management, and patient education across neonatal to adult populations.

Responsibilities include monitoring physiological responses, performing pulmonary function tests, and collaborating with physicians to optimize care.

Qualifications

• Associate of Science degree in respiratory therapy required; exceptions for pre-accredited hires.
• 1+ year of respiratory care experience; critical care experience preferred.
• Active New Jersey Respiratory Therapy license; NBRC RRT credential within 1 year.
• BLS required; ALS expected to obtain within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy and life support under physician supervision.
• Administer aerosol medications and manage breathing support.
• Set up and operate ventilators and related respiratory equipment.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust therapy as directed.
