Job summary

UMass Memorial Health seeks a Respiratory Therapist to administer respiratory modalities and provide critical care support in the Pulmonary Function Lab. The role includes ventilator management, airway procedures, patient education, and collaboration with physicians and nurses.

Qualified candidates will have NBRC credential, MA license, and a minimum associate degree in Respiratory Care. This is a day shift with a signing bonus potential and union representation.

Qualifications

• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist credential; MA license within 2 months after hire date
• Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent
• Must maintain MA license and CPR/BLS certification

Responsibilities

• Monitors and supports patients on mechanical ventilation and provides respiratory care as required.
• Assists with intubations, bronchoscopies, and airway procedures at the bedside.
• Sets up ventilators and monitoring equipment; administers medications and therapies as prescribed.
• Documents patient status and care in the EMR and coordinates with care team.
• Ensures equipment inventory and infection control standards are maintained.
