Job summary

Kaleida Health seeks a Critical Care Nurse Float to support Golisano Children’s Hospital in Buffalo, NY. The nurse will assess, treat and manage patients across critical care areas, following physician orders and hospital protocols.

Requirements include NYS RN licensure, BLS within 6 months, and ACLS within 1 year. This Per-Diem position offers variable hours with on-site work and potential for rotation.

Qualifications

• Current NYS registration as a Registered Professional Nurse/RN; permit required on hire and maintained thereafter.
• American Heart Association-BLS within 6 months of hire and maintained thereafter.
• ACLS required within 1 year of hire/transfer for RNs in Critical Care Units; maintained thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and treats human responses to health problems through services such as case finding, health teaching and provision of care.
• Executes medical regimens prescribed by a licensed physician or other provider as allowed by NYS.
• Adheres to Kaleida policies and standards of practice.
