Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.
• BSN is required.
• Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certification issued by the American Heart Association is required.
• CCR N (Critical Care Registered Nurse) certification is preferred and encouraged to obtain within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Teaches and demonstrates proficiency in patient assessment skills and nursing procedures.
• Reinforces policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines with nursing staff.
• Coordinates nursing-centered rounds and bedside reporting with Nurse Manager/Case Manager.
• Provides line-specific educational programs in collaboration with preceptors and NPDS.
• Monitors attendance rosters and ensures continued professional growth and competency.
• Collaborates to design, implement, and evaluate orientation and annual needs assessment education plans.
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment addressing patient care and age-related needs.
