HCA Healthcare's Henrico Doctors' Hospital in Virginia is seeking a Nurse Educator to enhance professional practice by delivering evidence-based educational programs for nursing and non-licensed staff.

You will lead onboarding, orientation, and competency activities, collaborating with the Director of Clinical Professional Development to ensure programs meet evaluation outcomes and staffing needs. A strong emphasis on lifelong learning and EBP will guide your work.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in nursing is required.
Master's degree in nursing is preferred.
2+ years of clinical education or leadership experience.
RN license in the state of practice or active compact license required.
BLS certification required.
Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

Develops, coordinates, and evaluates onboarding and orientation programs for nursing and other healthcare staff.
Provides onboarding to promote employee retention.
Collaborates with the Director of Clinical Professional Development to adjust programs based on evaluation results.
Develops competency programs and bridging activities.
Designs educational activities to address practice gaps for licensed and non-licensed staff.
Promotes evidence-based practice (EBP) to improve patient care and participates in QI activities.
Encourages lifelong learning and uses a novice-to-expert staff development continuum.
