Job summary

Logan Health in Kalispell, MT is seeking a Critical Care Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) to support ICU and PCU operations. You will coordinate admissions, transfers, discharges, and maintain patient records while interfacing with nurses, physicians, and ancillary staff.

This role requires strong organizational skills, clear communication, and comfort with EMR systems. Preference for healthcare training, BLS and telemetry certification within three months, and Montana notary is a plus.

Qualifications

• Post-high school education or vocational training in healthcare.
• Previous healthcare experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Create, maintain, and prepare patient records and documentation.
• Enter provider orders into the electronic medical record.
• Monitor patient telemetry screens and communicate changes or alarms to the care team.
• Support nurses, providers, and interdisciplinary teams with daily patient care operations.
• Maintain unit supplies, equipment, and organization.
• Assist with compliance, documentation, and regulatory requirements.
• Prioritize tasks and adapt to changing patient care needs during the shift.
